IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE – FOX POINT and CHESWOLD RESIDENTS

Date Posted: Wednesday, March 4th, 2015

On February 2, 2014 there were two black males in the area of Fox Pointe who approached a residence and posed as Delmarva Power employees. They were not wearing Delmarva Power uniforms; they were actually wearing matching shirts with a logo that the resident was not familiar with.

The suspects were described as one approximately age 18-20, slender built and 5’10”-6’ tall. The other was approximately 22-25 yrs old, stockier built, and about 5’6”-5’8”

They approached the door and when confronted for identification they were unable to provide the same. While they did not cause physical harm to the home owner they did display aggressive behavior.

When the homeowner advised that she contacted police the suspects left her home and walked to a Silver Toyota Scion driven by another male.

If someone approaches your residence claiming to be from a Utility Company or any other entity and they did not have an appointment CALL 911 IMMEDIATLEY and have an officer verify their information and identify the subjects.        There are a lot of scams out there better to be SAFE………………..CALL 911!!!!!!!!!!!
