On March 29th, 2021 the Cheswold Police Department will initiate its 2021 Autism Awareness Campaign in conjunction with Autism Delaware. We will be having a press event in the parking lot of the Town of Cheswold Police Department for this event at 10am, and a surprise or two.   Please join us as we kick off Autism Awareness month, April 2021 and promote love, hope and acceptance. #support #community #awareness #autismawareness2021   NOTE: This event will be outdoors and proper social distancing and mask wearing will be mandatory.

Presidential Primary Election

Eligible Delaware voters will be permitted to select the “sick” or “temporarily or permanently physically disabled” options on their absentee ballot application to cast a vote in the presidential primary election, even if they are not exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. Voters must return the application to the Delaware Department of Elections or complete the process online to receive an absentee ballot. The Delaware Department of Elections will operate at least six polling places in each county to allow voters to cast ballots in person should they choose not to vote by absentee ballot.   Governor Carney’s State of Emergency declaration – including the stay-at-home order and mandatory 14-day quarantine for out-of-state travelers – remains in place and carries the force and effect of law. COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT Amid the current state of affairs and the State of Emergency set forth by Governor Carney the Cheswold Police Department has placed some procedures in place to ensure the safety and well being of the Police Officers so they are able to continue to respond to any and all  emergency calls for service during this time. We understand that there are issues important to you and your community regarding the normal, everyday events but the spread of the virus and the complications it provides for small departments such as ours can have a devastating impact.
