Speeding Stop leads to Drug Arrest
On 6/5/13Cpl. Louis Simms of the Cheswold Police Department was conducting speed enforcement in the area of Moorton Rd in the Town of Cheswold when his radar unit showd a 2004 Mercedes 4S , black in color travelling at 44 MPH in a 25 MPH speed zone. Cpl. Simms stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver who provided the officer with a registration card for the vehicle and no drivers license. The driver then provided the officer with a name, which after a check proved to be false. After questioning the driver regarding his name the officer conducted a further investigation at the scene of the driver and his female passenger.
