Cheswold Police Department – Yearly Traffic Statistics
TRAFFIC STOP REPORTS
Beginning in late 2020 we previewed software that our officers would use to collect data when they conduct traffic stops of vehicles for traffic and civil (seatbelts/cell phones) violations in the Town of Cheswold.
In an effort to expand transparency we will be posting monthly statistics showing the number of stops, including traffic summons issued, written warnings, and a verbal warning. This data will be further broken down by sex and race. This serves two purposes, one is to give you a visual aspect of the stops our officers make during the course of the month and it also shows that officers do also give warnings (verbal and written) to violators.
